Talks between Iran’s special envoy and the deputy foreign minister of the Russian Federation over the advancement of Iran’s initiative for a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have kicked off in Moscow, IRNA reported.
The talks over the crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh and the introduction of Tehran’s initiative for a settlement of the conflict will be held by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Abbas Araghchi and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia for Central Asia and Caucasus Andrey Rodenko.
Araghchi says Tehran’s plan is based on humanitarian principles and the claims of the parties.
