The heavy strikes carried out by the Azerbaijani armed forces on the night of November 2-3 has resulted in destruction in various parts of Shushi, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

The mayor of Shushi, Artsvik Sargsyan, on Tuesday morning said this in a conversation with Armenpress, and presented the situation as of around 9:20am. "They struck the city of Shushi several times. It was a plane with which they used cluster bombs that fell in various parts of the city, and the remains fell in the village of Karin Tak. Thank God, we don’t have casualties or injuries among the civilian population, but there is destruction in various parts of the city. They had struck the city from the air yesterday, too, and they continue today," said Sargsyan.

He added that they still do not know what infrastructure was damaged as a result of these airstrikes, and they still have to study.

"The civilian population is currently in bomb shelters, they follow the safety rules, they are safe," said Artsvik Sargsyan said.
