At 13:30 in the direction of Karvachar, using smoke cannons, the Azerbaijani armed forces tried to pull out of the gorge the bodies of their soldiers fallen the previous day, the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defense Army (DA) reported on Tuesday.

"However, as a result of cannon and mortar fire from the Armenian side, it was thrown back, leaving two more corpses.

At 13:40 in the same direction, the enemy forces—hiding in smoke in the intermediate area, tried to launch an infiltration attempt with a group of 30 people. In this case, too, the advance of the adversary was stopped by the precision mortar fire of the DA units, as a result of which the latter retreated to the starting positions, suffering losses.

At 14:30, a buildup of the adversary was observed in the area of the battle positions, again in the direction of Karvachar. Our own forces detected on time the attempts of the enemy forces to buildup and destroyed 4 servicemen of the adversary that was trying to take refuge.

The operative situation, both in Karvachar and in other directions [of Artsakh], is under the control of the DA units," the Defense Army added.
