Armenia has submitted to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) additional evidence that substantiates Turkey’s failure to fulfill the ECHR’s October 6, 2020 decision on applying immediate measures in accordance with Rule 39 of the ECHR, Representative of Armenia before the ECHR Yeghishe Kirakosyan reported.
The Armenian government has informed the ECHR about Turkey’s ongoing, direct and indirect involvement in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Reliable evidence was also submitted in regard to the involvement of Syrian mercenaries in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict who were sent to Azerbaijan and deployed by Turkish forces. At the same time, Turkey continues to be involved with overt statements on the willingness to help Azerbaijan in the conflict. The evidence submitted to the ECHR is further reinforced through the statements by high-ranking officials of foreign countries.
