Representative of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan presented the situation in the battle zone during today’s briefing.

Hovhannisyan added that all day long the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, as well as sabotage groups, mercenaries and terrorists tried to attack in several directions, including the northern direction, in forests and in the northeastern direction. As a rule, such attempts are made by the tactical groups of a company or battalion. All attempts were thwarted.

The battles also continued in the south, in the direction of a peak along the length of Vorotan River. “Again, there was about one company with a few pieces of equipment. Losing 2-3 pieces of equipment, the adversary was pushed back to its initial positions. Aircraft and artillery are used, but not scaled. The density of fire increases in the places where attempts of attack are made,” Hovhannisyan noted.
