From October 29 to November 3, the delegation of the Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, by the assignment of leader of the political party Gagik Tsarukyan, had meetings with the leadership of Russia’s ruling United Russia Party (Yedinaya Rosia) and the leaderships of the political parties represented in the Russian State Duma.

The dire situation created in Artsakh and on the borders of Armenia was particularly discussed during the meeting held with the leadership of United Russia Party, which is a longstanding partner of Prosperous Armenia Party.

The parties also discussed the strategic partnership, as well as the direct involvement of Turkey in this war and the fact that the Azerbaijani army is being armed with international terrorists through Turkey.

The members of Prosperous Armenia Party transmitted Tsarukyan’s position according to which it is necessary to restore the full-fledged relations between Armenia and the Russian Federation since the latter is the only guarantor of security in the region.

Prosperous Armenia Party highly appreciates the constructive and effective discussions with the partners from the Russian State Duma and expresses gratitude for the meetings held at a high level. It also hopes that the agreements reached at the level of parliamentary diplomacy will have a positive impact on a speedy solution to the created situation.
