The Criminalistics Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia continues the preliminary investigation of the criminal case launched in relation to the aggressive war unleashed and being led by the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan along the entire length of the line of contact of the Artsakh Republic, international terrorism, serious violations of the norms of international humanitarian law during armed clashes, issuance of criminal order during armed clashes and mercenarism, within the scope of which the investigative group composed of officers of the Investigative Committee of Armenia and the Investigation Department of the National Security Service of Armenia implements large-scale investigative and other procedural actions.
As a result of the operational intelligence actions taken by the officers of the relevant subdivisions of the National Security Service of Armenia during preliminary investigation, factual data were obtained according to which 3 more Arab citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic are involved as mercenaries in the hostilities being implemented by the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan against Artsakh and Armenia. As a result of wholescale and other procedural actions implemented by the body implementing proceedings, on November 6, 2020, decisions were rendered to engage Abu Stef al-Hindavi, Ahmad al-Taybi and Abu Diab Halabi as accused under elements of the Criminal Code of Armenia (international terrorism, serious violations of the norms of international humanitarian law during armed clashes and mercenarism).
The same day, decisions were rendered to declare a search against them and motions were filed with the Yerevan first instance court of general jurisdiction to apply arrest as a pre-trial measure against them.
