Thousands of people have gathered Sunday in front of the Georgian parliament building in downtown Tbilisi to protest the results of the parliamentary elections on October 31, News Georgia reported.

The Georgian opposition does not recognize the legitimacy of these elections, and all eight opposition parties that have won parliamentary seats are renouncing the latter and demanding a new vote.

According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, the ruling Georgian Dream party received 48.23 percent of the votes, whereas the National Movement-Power in Unity opposition coalition has come in second—with 27.17 percent.
