YEREVAN. – We do not record the fact of being treated by testing, but by clinical improvement, but at the same time we say, "When you are discharged from the hospital, it is the same, you have to stay at home for 14 days." The Minister of Health, Arsen Torosyan, on Monday said this in a conversation with journalists in the parliament of Armenia—and regarding the COVID-19 cases in the country.

According to the minister, at the moment about 1,100 coronavirus patients are either in critical or severe condition in Armenia, and 73 patients are connected to ventilators. "Our problem is not the shortage of equipment, but of oxygen, which is a global shortage. Oxygen is produced and consumed; it is not possible to transport or import it for a long time. The oxygen capacities of our country are working on the border. We make a titanic effort to avoid any sudden disruption. We are trying to acquire new capacities," the minister added in particular.

And to the question as to whether there were cases of reinfection with the coronavirus in Armenia, the health minister noted that 343 such cases were reported in the healthcare system of the country.
