Minister of Defense of Armenia Davit Tonoyan today received commander of the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov who is in Armenia for the purpose of establishing ceasefire control in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

Tonoyan expressed gratitude for the rapid formation and deployment of the peacekeeping mission of the Russian Federation and expressed willingness to provide comprehensive support to implementation of the mission.

Issues on the organizing and implementation of the peacekeeping unit’s mission were discussed during the meeting.
