Two more planes carrying Russian peacekeepers have headed to Armenia in order to reach Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)], RIA Novosti reported, citing the Russian Defense Ministry.

"Two more (…) military transport aircrafts of the Russian Aerospace Defense Forces have left for Armenia from Ulyanovsk Vostochny Airport. Armored personnel carriers, [military] material resources, and peacekeeping unit personnel are on board the planes," the respective statement said.

It is noted that since Tuesday, these planes have brought more than 750 Russian servicemen to Armenia, as well as more than 110 pieces of equipment—armored vehicles, off-road trucks, and means of logistics support.

It is emphasized that continuous cooperation has been organized with the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia for the implementation of peacekeeping tasks and the safety of the Russian military personnel.

The total respective Russian contingent shall consist of 1,960 servicemen with firearms, 90 armored personnel carriers, and 380 units of motor vehicles and special equipment.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday night signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities in and around Artsakh. According to the Russian leader, the Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces will remain in their positions, and Russian peacekeepers will be deployed in the region. But this statement also stipulates the handover of part of Artsakh lands to Azerbaijan.
