The rotation of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)] will be carried out at least twice a year, RIA Novosti reported, citing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s relevant order, which was published on the Russian official Internet portal of legal information.

And the replacement of military equipment in Karabakh shall be carried out depending on the degree of productivity of the resource and the technical necessity, the document also states.

It is noted that the order "On measures to maintain peace in Nagorno-Karabakh" enters into force on the day of signing: Tuesday, November 10.

The total Russian peacekeeping contingent in Artsakh shall consist of 1,960 servicemen with firearms, 90 armored personnel carriers, and 380 units of motor vehicles and special equipment.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday night signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities in and around Artsakh. According to the Russian leader, the Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces will remain in their positions, and Russian peacekeepers will be deployed in the region. But this statement also stipulates the handover of part of Artsakh lands to Azerbaijan.
