French Senator Valerie Boyer posted the following on her Facebook page:

“France showed great cowardice towards Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenians are losing the lands of their ancestors, while we are looking away. When I was fighting to place the “Armenian mother protecting her four sons” statue in front of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, I couldn’t even imagine that France would be this passive.

It was important for me to pay tribute to the victims of this ethnic cleansing of Azerbaijan and Turkey they deserve.”

Boyer also posted a photo of her with representatives of the French-Armenian community.
