A short while ago, leader of Homeland Party Artur Vanetsyan exited the building of the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction in Shengavit District.

The court was examining the lawfulness of Vanetsyan’s detention.

Vanetsyan was greeted by his supporters who applauded him.

Vanetsyan told reporters that the purpose was to deprive him of liberty for three days, but in vain.

“The group of traitors has sold a part of our homeland, and in order to complete the plan, the group needed to detain the leaders of political parties who are fighting against the implementation of that treacherous plan. Thank God, the Armenian court assessed the situation correctly and rendered a fair decision,” Vanetsyan said.

Touching upon the criminal case, Vanetsyan said the case will definitely be dismissed.

Artur Vanetsyan is charged with organizing and holding an assembly in violation of the procedure established by law and violating the measures and temporary restrictions in effect during the legal regime of martial law.
