A Yerevan court made a decision to release Gegham Manukyan, a member of the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation-ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party.
His lawyer Garik Sahakyan told reporters that the court recognized Manukyan's detention as illegal.
"The investigative body has been given an opportunity to appeal the judicial act," Sahakyan added in particular.
Gegham Manukyan was apprehended during Thursday’s protests in Yerevan and then detained.
