Leader of Homeland Party Artur Vanetsyan today was summoned to the Special Investigation Service of Armenia for an interview under the criminal case regarding the organizing and holding of an assembly in violation of the procedure established by law and violation of the measures and temporary restrictions in effect during the legal regime of martial law in the country.
Vanetsyan told reporters that he had been interviewed as a suspect.
Asked if there was any word about a charge against him, Vanetsyan said there is still no charge.
Touching upon the launched criminal case, Vanetsyan stressed that the case is phony and is aimed at suspending the political process that he and other political figures have launched. “I have stated that this is a phony case. The sole purpose is to suspend our political activities. However, we’re not generating political processes. We are all trying to save our homeland because our homeland has been sold by a treacherous group.”
