President of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Arayik Haroutyunyan posted the following on his Facebook page:

“Today marked the launch of the process of exchanging the bodies of the deceased in accordance with a previously reached agreement. The bodies are being exchanged through the coordination of the peacekeeping mission of the Russian Federation and with the participation of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the State Service for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Artsakh.

I have expressed my gratitude to the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation for the rapid formation and implementation of the mission, as well as for ensuring security during the major humanitarian process of exchanging the bodies of the deceased, and to the International Committee of the Red Cross and the State Service for Emergency Situations for their active participation.”
