Today at 4 p.m. the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction in Shengavit District will examine the lawfulness of the detention of leader of Homeland Party Artur Vanetsyan, Vanetsyan’s attorneys reported.

The attorneys’ statement particularly states the following:

“As you already know, several members of the opposition, as well as people with opposing views are deprived of their liberty within the scope of illegal criminal prosecutions.

Leader of Homeland Party Artur Vanetsyan was detained again yesterday.

Today at 4 p.m. the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction in Shengavit District will examine the lawfulness of the detention of Artur Vanetsyan. Yesterday the courts of Armenia showed that they aren’t ready to violate the law and participate in the embarrassing capitulation of our country with their signatures and seals.

We fully hope that no force can force our courts to act contrary to the law and conscience.
