The National Security Service of Armenia has brought a charge against commander of the Sisakan army detachment, Colonel Ashot Minasyan. This is what Minasyan’s attorney Aram Vardevanyan told reporters today.
“I was at the National Security Service where a charge was being brought against Minasyan. The officers were trying their best to make sure I didn’t have a chance to attend the hearing and to postpone it. I simply got up and left the National Security Service since this was one of the latter’s tricks, that is, to try to do everything possible to detain and examine the issue of arrest at the same time. The latter contacted me and asked me to show up, and I simply asked if it concerned the charge, the motion for arrest, and the officers literally said ‘no’,” he said.
Vardevanyan stressed that this is a political process and assured that the investigative body has filed a motion for arrest with the court.
