Another 20 Russian military transport planes carrying equipment and personnel of 15th Peacekeeping Brigade, which were sent to Armenia to conduct peacekeeping operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)] conflict zone, have landed at Yerevan airports, the Russian Defense Ministry reported about this in a statement.
"The Russian military has unloaded the material means, weapons, and military equipment," the statement said.
During the day, Russian military planes brought 58 units of equipment—armored personnel carriers, off-road trucks, and other logistics equipment—to Armenia.
On November 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities in and around Artsakh. Accordingly, Russian peacekeepers will be deployed in the region to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities. But this statement also stipulates the handover of part of Artsakh lands to Azerbaijan.
