If it were possible to keep Shushi, it would have been kept. I did not want to say, but the bodies of more than 300 of our heroes have been retrieved from Shushi in the last two days. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this Monday at the special session of the National Assembly of Armenia—and responding to the MPs' questions.
"Can you imagine the scale of that battle? And there are people saying the generals or the political leadership ordered not to fight for Shushi? By whose order did those people go to fight and have fallen? If there is a treachery, it should be opened. But people go to the investigative bodies, say, 'I don't know. My cousin, or two unknown people came, said something like that, they left,'" he added.
Pashinyan also said that it has been decided that the communication channels should be opened, it means that both the roads and the railway should be unblocked, but this is a matter of further negotiations.
