The trilateral statement on the establishment of truce is unacceptable, but it is a fact, and in this situation, the deployment of Russian peacekeepers is a necessity. We view this document as a humiliating agreement on capitulation concluded behind the back of the people. This is what member of the Supreme Body of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party Ishkhan Saghatelyan said during the rally held with the demand for the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan at Liberty Square in Yerevan today.

“However, everything is not over. Armenia needs to try to reduce its concessions to a minimum through diplomatic negotiations. First of all, we need to reach a point where Artsakh is independent from Azerbaijan, and for this we need a negotiator. Pashinyan has failed and can no longer protect the interests of the Armenian people. He must resign,” Saghatelyan said and presented the roadmap of different political parties.

According to him, there are other constitutional solutions through which Nikol Pashinyan will step down. The first option is Pashinyan’s voluntary resignation. The second is the convocation of a parliamentary session during which the annulment of martial law in Armenia and the impeachment of Pashinyan will be on the agenda.

“After Pashinyan’s resignation, the parliament needs to elect a Prime Minister, a temporary cabinet of national accord, inspect the agreements envisaged by the statement and reduce Armenia’s losses. Extraordinary steps need to be taken to solve all the problems caused by the war, after which free, fair parliamentary elections need to be organized in a short period of time,” he added.
