Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Armenia Alison Mary LeClaire (seat in Moscow) today presented her Letters of Credence to President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian.
President Sarkissian congratulated the Ambassador on assuming office, wished her success and expressed confidence that the newly appointed Ambassador will put in her efforts to enhance the mutually beneficial partnership between the two friendly countries.
Ambassador LeClaire stated that it is an honor for her to represent Canada in Armenia. “I look forward to continuing the strong and friendly relations with your country. I would like to mention that we are committed to supporting Armenia in these difficult times,” the Ambassador said.
President Sarkissian touched upon the consequences of the Azerbaijani-Turkish military aggression unleashed against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and, in this context, the situation created in Armenia.
