A rally with the demand for Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation is taking place at Liberty Square in Yerevan following the previous rally held on November 16. Yesterday the two opposition factions of the National Assembly undertook the initiative to hold a special session to discuss lifting of martial law and the resignation of the Prime Minister, but the session wasn’t held due to the lack of quorum for the session of the Council of the National Assembly.

The 17 opposition parties have prepared a roadmap. According to this roadmap, after the Prime Minister resigns, the parliament will elect a new Prime Minister, form a temporary government of national accord comprising people who are professionals and trusted by the people and will meet three objectives (to inspect the agreements envisaged by the truce statement and reduce Armenia’s losses to a minimum, take steps to solve all humanitarian, security, socio-economic, health-related and economic issues caused by the war and organize free and fair parliamentary elections with equal conditions, as a result of which the people will form a new government.

As in the past, the leaders of opposition parties are being summoned to the Special Investigation Service before the rally.
