The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has referred to the signature of President of Russia Vladimir Putin as a guarantee of irreversibility of the agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh, TASS reported.
“The personal role of the President of Russia and his signature under the trilateral statement serve as an extremely important contribution to the peaceful settlement and as a guarantee of the irreversibility of this process,” the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan reads.
Commenting on Putin’s interview in which he talked about the settlement of the situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Baku “highly appreciates the efforts that the Russian party is making to settle the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated that Baku “fully shares” the assessment of the President of the Russian Federation according to which the major achievement of the trilateral statement is the cessation of bloodshed.
