In the past day, Russian military transport planes conducted 20 flights to Armenia in order to transport peacekeepers and equipment to Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)], according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

"More than 30 units of vehicles and special equipment—armored vehicles, off-road trucks, as well as logistics and other equipment—were brought to Armenia," the respective statement also reads.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the bulk of this military unit is the units of the 15th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (peacekeeping) of the Central Military District of the Russian Armed Forces.

Russia's observation posts are located along the Nagorno-Karabakh line of contact and along the Lachin corridor connecting Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

The peacekeeping operation command is located in the Nagorno-Karabakh capital Stepanakert.

The situation is monitored around the clock.

On November 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities in and around Artsakh. Accordingly, Russian peacekeepers will be deployed in the region to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities. But this statement also stipulates the handover of part of Artsakh lands to Azerbaijan.
