I was in deep pain to hear the sad news of the death of the Hero of Artsakh, MP of the NKR [Nagorno-Karabakh Republic] Supreme Council in 1992-1996, former chairman of the Yerkrapah Volunteers Union, Lieutenant General Manvel Grigoryan, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Arayik Haroutyunyan on Friday morning wrote this on Facebook.

"His contribution to the defense and establishment of our homeland is undeniable. (…). His name will forever remain in the heroic chapters of our chronicle," Haroutyunyan added.

As reported earlier, Manvel Grigoryan passed away Thursday.
