I had a telephone conversation twice in the last hour with President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on Facebook.

"Discussions focused on matters related to the settlements of the Lachin corridor, missing persons, search operations, the process of the exchange of the bodies of the dead, of the captured, the deployment and demarcation of [Russian] peacekeepers, as well as the unblocking of transport communications in the region.

Such discussions take place regularly; sometimes several times a day. Given their working nature and frequency, we do not always disseminate messages about these discussions," Pashinyan added.

On November 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities— which Azerbaijan had launched on September 27—in and around Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). Accordingly, Russian peacekeepers are deployed in the region to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities. But this statement also stipulates the handover of part of Artsakh lands to Azerbaijan.
