Reports are being prepared on the sudden death of a Russian contract soldier at the 102nd Russian military base in Gyumri, Armenia Investigative Committee spokesperson Rima Yeganyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In a conversation with Sputnik Armenia, the press service of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces had reported that the body of this Russian soldier was found by his fellow serviceman. "The commission of the command of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District of Russia is conducting a joint investigation with the law enforcement agencies on the fact of the death of the contract soldier. No traces of violence were found on the soldier's body," the statement reads.

All the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
