Andrey Ghukasyan will resign Wednesday from his post as governor of Lori Province of Armenia. He said this in an interview with RFE/RL, at the same time emphasizing that he will continue his membership in the ruling Civil Contract Party.

But Ghukasyan did not rule out that he will move to another job in the near future.

When asked whether he had been offered another job, the Lori governor said as follows in particular: "There have been offers, but I myself have asked for a little break to rest."
