YEREVAN. – You say that the government has exhausted itself; very well, we have exhausted ourselves. And we say, let's go for snap [parliamentary] elections, see who has exhausted. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this during Wednesday’s question and answer session with the government in the National Assembly of Armenia, responding to opposition Prosperous Armenia Party MP Iveta Tonoyan’s question as to whether the PM and the team he leads were going to step down because they have exhausted themselves.

"Is it you who is going to decide whether we have or have haven’t exhausted ourselves? We say, you do not decide, we do not decide either; let the people decide. (…). I say, let's agree on what timeframes, so that you do not say later that the ruling faction decided by itself. (…). You say resignation, and we say, very well, resignation, so snap [parliamentary] elections. (…). Let's sign a paper that we are holding elections within this timeframe, under this Electoral Code. What other conditions do you want? Let's discuss," Pashinyan added in particular.
