Yes, overall, the rhetoric of Azerbaijan’s leadership is still troubling, and it is often self-contradicting. This is what deputy of the My Step faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan told reporters in parliament today.

“There may be constructive statements, but they are followed by destructive statements. The same goes for Turkey. The military exercises show that when the Turkish government declares that there can be normal relations with Armenia, it isn’t too consistent with the statements,” he said.

As far as the de-blockage of regional infrastructures is concerned, Rubinyan noted that the process hasn’t taken place yet. “It’s obvious that Azerbaijan’s rhetoric and actions will have an impact on the effective or ineffective implementation, and this is also applicable in the context of the return of prisoners of war,” he said.
