Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) MPs voted on Monday to re-elect the current chairman of the organization, Belgian Senator Rik Daems.
He first assumed this position at the winter session in 2020. The re-election of the PACE chairman was held without discussion.
The politician holds senior positions in a number of Belgian-Chinese investment funds created with his participation. Daems is also engaged in a wine business as he is the majority shareholder of the Belgian company VINOBELGA, which produces wine and brandy.
