Leader of the opposition Bright Armenia Party Edmon Marukyan took to his Facebook to report that the issue of the release of Armenian prisoners of war was raised in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

“As a result of the efforts that we made during the discussions held by the political groups and plenary session of the PACE this morning, a little while ago, the heads of two political groups, including Aleksander Pociej (Group of the European People’s Party) and Jacques Maire (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Group) raised the issue regarding the release of Armenian prisoners of war being kept in Azerbaijan before the Secretary General of the Council of Europe,” he wrote.
