PACE Secretary-General Marija Pejcinovic Buric welcomed the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh. 

Speaking at a PACE session, she noted that the Council of Europe was negotiating with the parties on the provision of post-conflict assistance to ensure respect for human rights.

She also touched upon the case of Turkish philanthropist Osman Kavala, who has been in prison for several years, noting that it is completely wrong that the Turkish authorities still have not released him, despite the fact that the ECHR demanded his release last year.
