There are two ways: one is constitutional, when more than 100,000 people gather and the government is paralyzed and forced to hand over power, or a revolt. Ex-PM Vazgen Manukyan, the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement’s candidate for the post of Prime Minister, stated this Tuesday during a meeting with the residents of Ararat Province of Armenia.
"Now I cannot present a roadmap, but the movement itself is trying to go with small means. We also plan to hold a huge rally on February 18 (…). Let's think together what to do. Apart from us, some other people also are holding a rally on January 28. Eventually, all these ‘roots’ will unite, become a river that will drive them [the incumbent Armenian authorities] away," said Manukyan.
He spoke also about the expected snap parliamentary elections, noting: "[PM] Nikol Pashinyan said that he wants to organize snap elections. We also say that we want to organize snap elections. What is the difference? We say now is not the time, it is impossible to do it with the second Nikol. (…). I will not run in those elections—in any configuration, in any way; it will mean erasing all this, starting again from scratch.”
Vazgen Manukyan also expressed confidence that such elections will be maximally dishonest compared to all previous ones.
