Armenia’s Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan today paid a visit to one of the air defense units of the Armed Forces of Armenia with the accompaniment of the Air Defense Administration of the Russian Aerospace Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Harutyunyan visited the unified air defense and aviation command point of the Armed Forces of Armenia from where the air borders of Armenia are protected during on-duty service and through the combined efforts of the Air Defense Troops of the Armed Forces of Armenia and the Air Defense Forces of the Russian 102nd Military Base.

The defense minister was told that there haven’t been violations of air borders.

Harutyunyan attached importance to the need for deepening of the Armenian-Russian military cooperation, including in the air defense sector.

Chief of the Air Defense Troops of the Armed Forces of Armenia-Head of Department, Major General Armen Vardanyan and the command also presented the course of implementation of the joint activities and the future actions.
