During 2011 General Assembly sitting, the Senate of Colorado State (U.S.) proclaimed April 24 Colorado Day of Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide.

Resolution 11-035 calls upon Turkey to show respect towards its duties endorsed in international treaties and compensate the damage of destructed Christian churches, temples, schools, monuments and other religious property, as well as allow the rightful owners to restore and rebuilt church property, and to run educational and religious meetings freely and unhampered.
