On January 28, on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of Armenia, the Armenian contingent carrying out its peacekeeping mission in Kosovo hosted a solemn event under the leadership of the contingent’s commander, Senior Lieutenant Gagik Mikayelyan and platoon commander, Senior Lieutenant Artur Yeghiazaryan, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia reported.

In his speech, the commander of the contingent stressed the need to keep the reputation of the Armenian army high during the mission being carried out abroad in the complicated geopolitical situation and the importance of continuing with honor the work of the fellow soldiers who died in the war in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
