Vazgen Manukyan, candidate of the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement for Prime Minister, discussed the domestic political situation in Armenia, the fate of the Artsakh issue and the geopolitical developments in the region with a group of political scientists and analysts, as reported the Homeland Salvation Movement.

The interlocuors discussed the domestic political crisis in Armenia and shared their views. Some of the participants said the strategy and actions in the political field need to be developed on the basis of serious sociological studies and analyses.

They also exchanged views on the in-depth reasons for shift of power in 2018 in Armenia and the events that followed, the problems of the authorities, state system, the opposition and political parties, etc.

Touching upon the Artsakh issue, the attendees attached importance to the clarification of Armenia’s position on the issue and the intensification of actions. The interlocutors also discussed the need for Armenia to develop necessary steps and a strategy on the backdrop of Turkey’s active efforts in the region, the objective to shape a clear-cut agenda of relations with the United States and the prospects for cooperation with Russia and other natural allies.
