YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes: According to the Zhoghovurd daily’s information, there is no consensus whatsoever in the [majority] My Step faction of the NA [National Assembly] on the draft proposed by My Step MP Vahagn Hovakimyan that after making constitutional amendments in the NA, the parliament should be allowed to dissolve itself.

According to our information, in the view of the My Step [MPs], the draft proposed by Vahagn Hovakimyan is unfeasible, and they expressed the opinion that they will once again find themselves in a very unpleasant situation.

And that is why the ruling team does not even want to discuss it in the near future.

Our sources report also that Vahagn Hovakimyan presents such thoughts, suggestions that in many cases seem ridiculous to the MPs.

Zhoghovurd daily tried to find out from Vahagn Hovakimyan whether the information that the draft he tabled was not approved by the faction was true. "That draft has not been discussed like that yet; that is, it is under discussion, and I do not rule out that it will not be approved; but at the moment we do not have such a decision. There is neither a negative nor a positive decision. My expectation is that it will be approved, but I do not rule out that it will not be approved," Vahagn Hovakimyan stated (…).

To our remark as to when they are going to discuss his proposals in the faction, he said. "I do not know, maybe in the near future. I did not intend to speed up its discussion that much; it’s just that the matter came to the press arena, started to be discussed."
