Narek Babayan, Chairman of the State Property Management Committee of Armenia—who also is the husband of National Assembly vice speaker Lena Nazaryan, has written a letter of resignation and is currently meeting with the heads of the Committee departments and saying goodbye to them, according to hraparak.am.

"Our sources said that the reason for such a decision is the very tense relations with the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, Suren Papikyan. In particular, Papikyan has forbidden Babayan to have direct contacts with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the government, and as the solution to that hopeless situation, Babayan saw writing a petition [for dismissal] and leaving,” hraparak.am added.
