The Moscow City Court has returned the case of Armenian sisters Kristina and Angelina Khachaturyan to the prosecutor's office, lawyer Alexei Liptser told RIA Novosti on Monday.

"The court granted the motion of the injured party to return the case to the prosecutor's office until a final decision is made on Mikhail Khachatryan in his criminal case," the attorney said.

To note, Kristina and Angelina Khachaturyan, along with their younger sister Maria, were charged with killing their father, Mikael Khachatryan, but they had stated that they were being abused by their father.

Mikhail Khachatryan, was murdered on July 27, 2018 in Moscow. The body of the 57-year-old man was found with cuts on the neck and chest in their house located in Moscow. The three daughters, who are charged with their father’s murder, have confessed the crime.
