Through the mediated efforts of the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, two servicemen of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan who had been detained by the National Security Service of Armenia in the territory of Tegh settlement of Syunik Province of Armenia have been released.

As reported the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, on January 30, at the request of Azerbaijan, the medical squad (special squad) of the Russian peacekeeping contingent conducted the evacuation of 16 ill servicemen of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan from the Maghavuzi Vank settlement where they were transferred to Azerbaijani doctors.

The General Staffs of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia are constantly cooperating to coordinate the efforts to prevent possible incidents in the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
