YEREVAN. – Yes, the meeting of the six leaders took place yesterday, about which there will be small news information. Hayk Mamijanyan, the chairman of the youth organization of the former ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), stated this during Wednesday’s protest outside the National Assembly building.

"The news being spread by the propaganda machine—that, as if, there are some problems in connection with the [opposition] Homeland Salvation Movement—do not correspond to reality. As you can see, the movement continues its work on all fronts. As a result of our daily work, there are already some small victories, and the main victory—[PM] Nikol Pashinyan's resignation—is still ahead," he said.

Mamijanyan, however, did not say what their other course of action on Wednesday.

Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am had informed that according to media reports, a meeting in the format of six opposition leaders was to take place Tuesday, in which ex-President and RPA chairman Serzh Sargsyan, ex-President Robert Kocharyan, Homeland Party chairman Artur Vanetsyan, ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party official Ishkhan Saghatelyan, Prosperous Armenia Party chairman Gagik Tsarukyan, and Homeland Salvation Movement’s PM candidate Vazgen Manukyan are taking part.

According to the information of Hraparak daily, this meeting will decide the fate of the Homeland Salvation Movement. "Apparently, the opposition will announce the end of its [the movement’s] activities and the beginning of a new phase," Hraparak had added.
