Head of the Special Investigation Service of Armenia Sasun Khachatryan yesterday received Temporary Chargé d’Affaires of the United Arab Emirates to Armenia Ahlam AlSalami.

Attaching importance to further strengthening of the legal relations between Armenia and the United Arab Emirates, Khachatryan expressed certainty that the meeting will serve as a new impetus for laying the foundations for cooperation and development of partnering ties between the relevant institutions of both countries.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the opportunities for studying the practice of law-enforcement authorities of the United Arab Emirates in the sphere of investigation into the return of assets illegally taken out of the country and corruption crimes, including cases of money-laundering and illicit enrichment.

Al Salami expressed gratitude to Khachatryan for the meeting and cordial reception and expressed certainty that the organizing of reciprocal visits and the signing of a memorandum of understanding will serve as a ground for the ensuring and development of direct cooperation between the law-enforcement authorities of both countries.
