I spoke, on a very important platform, on the issue of the return of prisoners of war. Edmon Marukyan, chairman of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and head of its parliamentary faction, wrote this on Facebook.

"On February 04, an online conference was held in the European Parliament, on the initiative of the Renew Europe faction, dedicated to discussing the prospects for the development of beneficial cooperation with the Eastern Partnership countries and the EU.

The Azerbaijani delegation also took part in the conference.

Discussing various issues of bilateral cooperation, in the planned speech I reflected on the challenges, threats, and humanitarian crisis for Armenia and Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], stemming from the [recent] Artsakh war and the trilateral statement signed on November 09.

In particular, I stressed the need for the safe return of Armenian prisoners of war and captive civilians and the assistance of European partners in this matter," Marukyan added.
