YEREVAN.- Workers of the Nairit chemical plant marched to residence of President Serzh Sargsyan on Thursday demanding to solve problems regarding salaries ahead of re-launch of the factory.

The Nairit plant producing chloroprene rubber has suspended its activities since last March. Protestors claimed the workers received their last salary four months ago.

A small delegation headed by Hrach Tadevosyan, head of the trade union, spent an hour meeting with head of president’s control service Hovhannes Hovsepyan.

Later Tadevosyan said that head of president’s staff Karen Karapetyan promised to tackle the problem in 15 days.
