Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran Artashes Tumanyan received Iranian-Armenian scientists, including mathematician Mkrtich Tumanian, physicist Shant Baghramian and Professor of Electrical and Technical Sciences Gevorg Karapetian.

At the outset of the meeting, Ambassador Tumanyan congratulated Associate Professor Shant Baghramian, who has been declared as the winner of the annual physics awards ceremony held by the Iranian Academy and recognized as the year’s best young researcher, and wished him prolific work and success.

Afterwards, the interlocutors talked about the Iranian-Armenian specialists’ activities and achievements in science and education and particularly touched upon the work of young scholars and specialists of various sectors, as well as the prospects for development of Armenia-Iran relations in science, education and technology.

An agreement was reached to organize a more enlarged meeting with young Iranian-Armenian scientists and high technology specialists.
