Armenia’s Deputy Justice Minister Kristinne Grigoryan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Armenia Pavel Cheplak and touched upon the items on the Ambassador’s agenda.

During the meeting, the parties discussed several issues related to the Probation Service and the framework of anti-corruption reforms and the prospects for cooperation in those areas.

Upon the request of the Ambassador, Grigoryan presented the framework of amendments to the new Criminal Code and Criminal Procedure Code and emphasized that the Probation Service is the main tool for functioning of rehabilitative justice for the Ministry of Justice of Armenia. In this context, the parties reached an agreement on the exchange of experience in the probation monitoring of Poland.

During the meeting, the deputy minister also presented the course of introduction and activities of the anti-corruption institutions in Armenia. In regard to the prevention of corruption, Ambassador Cheplak underscored the possibility of cooperation through the organizing of exchange of experience with the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau of Poland.
